This July, Johannesburg audiences can experience that artistry when WGRUV Dance Company presents Highlights: Tracing the Line at Roodepoort Theatre from 9 to 12 July 2026.
Following the success of Juxtapose earlier this year, the production forms the company's second major programme of 2026, bringing together internationally recognised choreography alongside original works created by WGRUV's founders.
An Evening of Powerful Storytelling
Rather than following a single storyline, Highlights: Tracing the Line presents a carefully curated collection of contemporary dance works that explore relationships, identity, emotion and the shared human experience.
The programme includes acclaimed choreography by internationally respected artists Jessica Lang, Jesse Obremski and Michael Trusnovec, performed alongside original creations by Holly Gruver and Lex Gruver, whose vision has helped establish WGRUV as one of Johannesburg's leading contemporary dance companies.
Each performance offers its own perspective while contributing to a larger journey through movement, music and expression.
