Babylonstoren Brings the Farm to The Westcliff

Franschhoek's iconic wine farm comes to Johannesburg for a year-long culinary partnership

🔥 Trending

Franschhoek's iconic wine farm is coming to Johannesburg for a year-long culinary partnership that will bring the best of the Cape Winelands to the city.

The Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff has announced four seasonal dinners in collaboration with Babylonstoren. Each dinner will showcase the farm's garden-to-table philosophy and world-class wines.

The Autumn Harvest Kicks Off This Week

The series begins on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, with a menu built around the Season of the Olive. Executive Chef Rudi Liebenberg has worked with Babylonstoren's team to create dishes where every course features the farm's harvest.

The evening starts with oysters drizzled in Coratina extra virgin olive oil, paired with Babylonstoren's Sprankel Cap Classique. Standout dishes include Trout Mi Cuit with Ricotta Agnolotti, and Fire-Roasted Beef Rump served with a beef cheek and truffle bone marrow pithivier.

A Year of Seasonal Dinners

Cellar Master Klaas Stoffberg will select wines from the farm's 14 grape varieties to match each season. The full schedule is:

• Autumn: 22 April 2026
• Winter: 25 June 2026
• Spring: 23 September 2026
• Summer: 3 December 2026

What You Need to Know

• Cost: R1,750 per person (includes wine pairing and gratuity)
• Location: Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff, 67 Jan Smuts Avenue,        Westcliff
