Dinnerbox offers a simple alternative: pre-cooked frozen meals that you keep in the freezer and heat when you need them. The meals are prepared in a certified kitchen, and the company says it uses fresh ingredients without preservatives.

There are different meal sizes too, from 250g kids' meals to 350g, 500g and some 600g adult meals, while family meals are 1.8kg.

Dinnerbox's Build-A-Box lets you choose individual meals from different categories and create your own box. Minimum order: 10 meals You can choose different meals or order multiples of your favourites.
How delivery works
Dinnerbox currently delivers across several South African provinces, including Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Limpopo, Free State, and North West. Delivery: R90 nationally
Good to know
The meals arrive frozen and should remain frozen until you're ready to eat them. They can be heated in the microwave, oven or air fryer, following the instructions supplied with the meal. Dinnerbox recommends keeping meals in the freezer for up to three months from delivery.
