Fabiani Café Brings Coffee, Community and Purpose to Sandton City |
Every coffee, pastry and panzerotti sold helps create opportunities for young people and supports families facing food insecurity. |
Sometimes, grabbing a cup of coffee can do more than brighten your day.
For a limited time, shoppers at Sandton City can enjoy premium coffee, handcrafted food and stylish surroundings while supporting two organisations making a real difference in South Africa. The Fabiani Café pop-up is open until 13 July 2026, with 100% of all proceeds donated to charity.
More Than a Coffee Shop
Created by menswear brand Fabiani, the café is more than a retail activation. It's a Corporate Social Investment initiative developed in partnership with The Sozo Foundation and FoodForward SA, combining great coffee with meaningful community impact.
One of the café's most inspiring features is that it is run by graduates of The Sozo Foundation's Barista Training Programme. These young baristas gain valuable real-world experience by operating the café in one of Johannesburg's busiest shopping destinations, helping bridge the gap between training and employment.
A Menu Worth Visiting For
Coffee lovers can enjoy Cedar Coffee's exclusive Fabiani Blend, created especially for the pop-up. The speciality roast offers notes of malt, chocolate, and toasted nuts, alongside favourites such as flat whites, Americanos, hot chocolate, and matcha drinks.
The food menu is equally tempting.
Chef Corvin Pietersen of Broodkop has created his signature handcrafted panzerottis, while pastry chef Sofia El Baz of Daily Indulgence offers a selection of elegant pastries inspired by her Moroccan-French heritage. Think tiramisu bars, buttery madeleines and pistachio mini cakes that pair perfectly with your coffee.
Every Purchase Makes a Difference
What sets this café apart is where the money goes.
Every rand of profit supports two organisations working to improve lives across South Africa.
The Sozo Foundation equips young people with education, life skills and vocational training that open doors to employment, while FoodForward SA helps tackle food insecurity by rescuing quality surplus food and distributing it to communities in need.
It means that every coffee you buy helps create opportunities for young people and supports programmes that provide nutritious meals for vulnerable South Africans.
Before You Go
The Bottom Line
The Fabiani Café is proof that a simple coffee break can have a lasting impact. Whether you're stopping in for your morning flat white, meeting friends over lunch or treating yourself to something sweet, every purchase helps support youth development and food security. It's a delicious reason to visit Sandton City, and an easy way to give back while you're there. |
